Snack Policies
The first graders will have time (approximately 10 minutes) to eat a small snack around 10:00 am each day. Please send a small, healthy snack (such as fresh fruit/veggies or fruit cups, crackers & cheese, low-fat granola bars, etc.) for your child to eat during this time. Make sure to include a paper towel and/or napkin so that desks can be kept clean for school work.
**Students may bring in a labeled water bottle to use throughout the day, as long as it closes securely to avoid spills, and it does not become a distraction to learning. Only water is allowed in the classroom. Juice and milk are for the lunchroom only.
If your child has any food allergies, please let me know. He/she may keep some snacks in the classroom for days when we have treats that he/she may not be able to eat.
I do not have extra snacks for students who fail to bring their own.
